An innovatively designed awning that not only creates a well-sheltered porch area for your Bell Tent, but also helps you connect it to other structures.
Created in response to our customers' requests for a sturdy ‘extension’-style awning and a way to connect different structures, the Pro Crossbar Awning adds a whole new dimension to your camping set-up.
The rear of the awning connects to the spike of the A-frame, while a retaining nut helps keep it securely in place when the breeze gets up. It’s cleverly shaped with fluted sides, creating a flatter front edge that makes it easier to connect to the side of a van or caravan.
The optional crossbar includes clips designed to attach to the roof lip of older vehicles, or provides a convenient fixing point for tying on additional structures. Remove the crossbar and run the guy ropes over the vehicle if there’s no roof lip or roof bars available. The awning will also work without the crossbar, although it does provide additional stability.
Supplied with two upright poles with spikes, you can alter the profile to suit different sizes of Bell Tent, although it works best with 5m and Emperor Bell Tent A-frame sizes(The 3m Bell Tent is too small)
This flexibility also allows you to position both poles on one side of the awning to create easier access when connected to a vehicle. Consider adding a set of adjustable Pro Awning Poles and you can open the whole set-up out into a spacious cooking or seating area, or keep the windward side lowered for extra stability.
It makes a fantastic sheltered porch area for sitting out, cooking, or storing your gear.
