Bell Tent UK Boutique 5m Ultimate

We know things are tight at the moment, and not everyone wants, or needs, to invest in one of our heavier-duty Premium or PRO Bell Tents.

So, rather than join the race to the bottom with our main tent ranges, we’ve created something new: the Bell Tent UK Boutique Range.

This is our more accessible 5m Bell Tent option, designed for campers who still want the confidence of buying from Bell Tent UK, but at a lower price point than our Premium Ultimate or PRO ranges.

The Boutique 5m Ultimate uses a slightly lighter 250gsm (proofed weight) Polycotton canvas than our Premium and PRO tents, while still benefiting from quality European proofing for water, UV and mould resistance. It also comes with several modern features that make camp life easier, including mesh doors, a hidden rear power cable zip and a built-in stove flap.

A more accessible Bell Tent UK option

Bell Tent UK launched in 2006 and has now been selling quality for two decades. We came up with the now much-copied Ultimate version in 2008. Our Premium Ultimate 5m Bell Tent is still our best-selling, heavier-duty classic. Our PRO range is still the one to choose for professional use, longer-term pitching and heavier 100% cotton canvas.

The Boutique range sits alongside them as a lighter, more affordable 5m option for customers who want a proper Bell Tent UK camping experience without stretching to the Premium or PRO price.

In other words: if you want our toughest canvas and long-term pitching ability, choose Premium or PRO. If you want a great-looking 5m Bell Tent for holidays, festivals, garden glamping and shorter adventures, the Boutique 5m Ultimate is a very tempting bit of kit.

Lighter canvas with European proofing

The Boutique 5m Ultimate is made from a slightly lighter 250gsm cotton canvas mix than our Premium and PRO ranges, making it easier to handle, pitch and pack away.

It still uses European proofing to help protect against water, UV and mould, so you get a breathable canvas tent that feels far more comfortable than a synthetic tent in warm weather.

Zipped-in groundsheet

The zipped-in “bath-tub” Ultimate 420gsm groundsheet gives you the wet-weather reassurance of a sealed floor, helping keep out draughts, bugs and surface water.

It also gives you a clean, enclosed interior space, ideal for glamping, family camping and longer weekends under canvas.

Built-in Fire-Resistant stove flap

One of the standout features of the Boutique 5m Ultimate is the built-in stove flap.

The flap and surround are made from a fire-resistant canvas, and the material under the flap is also heat-resistant. You cut your own hole in this heat-resistant material to suit the size of your flue pipe.

This gives you the option to fit a suitable stove flue through the tent without cutting a permanent hole in the canvas roof in the usual way. It is a very useful feature if you want the flexibility of using a stove, while keeping the tent more adaptable when the stove is not in use. We still recommend you fit a proper vulcanised rubber flashing like the ones that come free with our Camping With Stoves Range but this flap means you are bolting that to fire-resistant material and have a canvas flap so you can seal the tent up if you’re not using a stove.

N.B. Only use stoves with double-walled insulated flue pipes directly through the stove flap. Otherwise fit a vulcanised rubber flashing bolted onto heat-resistant material under the flap. We have not cut a hole in that heat-resistant material because we don’t want people assuming they can stick a single-walled flue straight through it and it will deal with the heat. Stoves can be made to burn at many temperatures and a vulcanised rubber flashing  is the best way of remaining safe. Attaching that to our heat-resistant patch gives you double protection and our warranty will not cover damage caused by people ignoring this advice

As always, stove use inside any tent must be done carefully and correctly. Always use a suitable flashing or flue system, follow the stove manufacturer’s instructions, use a carbon monoxide alarm and never leave a burning stove unattended.

Hidden rear power cable zip

The hidden rear zip allows you to run a power cable into the tent more neatly, without having to trap it through the corner of the front door or leave a gap open.

It is a small feature, but a very useful one if you are using campsite hook-up, lighting, chargers or other low-power camping accessories.

Mesh doors and windows

Mesh doors and windows help keep the bugs out while allowing airflow through the tent. This makes the Boutique 5m Ultimate a great choice for summer camping, festivals and family holidays, especially when you want ventilation without inviting every midge in the postcode to move in with you.

A flexible 5m space

The 5m size is our most popular and versatile Bell Tent size for good reason. It is roomy enough for family camping, spacious enough for glamping, and properly luxurious for two.

It can sleep up to eight people on roll mats in camping mode, around five with kit in glamping mode, or can be set up as a very comfortable space for a couple with a proper bed, rugs, tables and lighting.

Choose the Boutique 5m Ultimate if you want a lower-priced 5m Bell Tent with the Bell Tent UK name and quality behind it, useful modern features, and a lighter pack-down than our heavier-duty models. Choose our Premium Ultimate or PRO ranges if you want thicker materials, heavier-duty construction or a tent better suited to extended use, professional setups or more demanding conditions.
